Crimson Curtains and Scarlet Rain

Just as if the rain had washed away her thoughts, she stood in silence as she watched the wolves devour her kin. Then, a bit of warmth touched her cheeks. Her veins began to bulge. Her breathing grew heavy and her eyes rocketed from side to side. “What can I do,” she asked. Her question fell upon lifeless ears but her eyes would answer as they fell upon her father's ax beside the door.

So heavy. A giant within her feeble grasp, but strength comes. From fear and anger and desperation strength comes. And with one great breath she wields her new appendage 'cross the room.

As crimson curtains clothe the scene she crumbles to the floor.

Silenced again by scarlet rain her eyes see nothing more.
