For Benzaiten
Going once, going twice
petals fall upon the floor
The bouquet of my life
destined to blossom never more
My pattern of love:
another flower waltzes through the door
and gone again
a puddle of petals like the one before
Farewell cruel world
your offerings are much too temporary
I know now that my path in life
leaves love unnecessary
Am I not deserving of a love honest and true?
Am I not forgiving of what each had put me through?
Alas, I take an iron box
and place my heart inside
and roll along my journey
with due diligence and stride
I accept my fate
to live alone
c'est la vie!
But what is this?
Another flower
is waltzing
toward
me
