The Hole (1984)

There's a hole in the ground as deep as the sea.

No one knows about it except me.

It's there in the forest with the purple trees

buried far under the leaves.

Too dark to see but I'll feel the walls.

“The thorns will rip you,” a little voice calls.

Beyond the thorns I see a light.

I'll push my way through with all my might....

I've found the end but it's more than I can handle;

a damaged girl and one small candle.

Ripped and torn as I.

I start to cry.

For the little girl I see

...is me.
