Good Morning Kitty
Itty Bitty Kitty
jumps up on the bed.
Itty Bitty Kitty
sits upon my head.
Her silky black fur
tickles in my ear
and her purring, purring, purring
is all that I can hear.
I see shiny green jewels
sparkling back at me.
The love-love in her eye-eyes
says she belongs to me.
Now she's playing with my pencil
as I try to write this rhyme.
She watches and she waits
then attacks it just in time.
She got up to have breakfast
and left some drops of blood.
Oh my goodness, oh my goodness,
what has Itty Bitty done?!
I kicked my covers down
and stepped off of the bed.
Crunch, crunch, crunch.
I squashed a mouse's little head.
Itty Bitty Kitty,
you look at me with pride.
But I'd appreciate it
if you left your gifts outside.
